At École Laval Musique , we believe that every performance is more than just a show: it's a celebration of growth , confidence , and human connection .
When a student prepares for a concert or music exam, something magical happens because they now have a purpose for practicing: their motivation increases , their focus sharpens , and their pride shines through in every note. These moments, filled with challenge and accomplishment, build confidence that will last a lifetime.
Playing in public develops courage. Performing on their instrument in front of an audience, large or small, helps students overcome their nervousness and transform their emotions into musical expression. They discover that courage is not the absence of fear—it is the ability to move forward in spite of it, to learn to control their concentration and gestures for better musical performance.
Exams provide purpose and structure. Preparing for an exam (such as the RCM exam or even a house exam) provides children with clear goals and a plan for progress. They learn discipline, perseverance , and the satisfaction of achieving their milestones one by one.

The Spectacle des Neiges takes place in December of each year under the theme of winter and the beautiful music of the season.
Community is key. Our concerts and exams bring together students, families, and teachers to celebrate learning as a collective adventure . Seeing how their shared efforts inspire others, music students discover the true value of music: a bridge between people. Music is meant to be shared with those around us.
Growth that lasts a lifetime. Long after the applause has stopped, the benefits remain: confidence, self-expression, discipline, and a sense of belonging . These are the true gifts of music performances and exams—far beyond the grades themselves.
At École Laval Musique , we cultivate personal growth , harvest meaningful connections , and ignite the excellence of the musical brain —one stage and one event at a time.
